National Women’s History Month

Well, to wrap up the end of March and National Women’s History month, we wanted to highlight some of the influential women in Philadelphia– many of whom parks, playgrounds and recreation centers are named after. Lucretia Mott was heavily involved in the abolition movement.
Alice Paul was heavily involved in the Women’s Suffrage.
Fanny Jackson Coppin raised standards for African-American education.
