Join Feet First Philly for a mindfulness walk in East Fairmount Park. Mindfulness brings meditation techniques to our everyday experiences; allowing us to be more fully present in the moment, in touch with our thoughts, emotions, and bodies. This walking meditation will be a slower pace than typical hikes as we slow to fully appreciate our surroundings, a beautiful wooded glen. While we all know the health benefits of walking in general, a mindful walk in nature have the added benefits of lowering blood pressure and stress hormones.

The walk will follow the Boxer’s Trail approximately one mile to the grounds of Mount Pleasant Mansion where there will be a guided meditation session. We will then return to the walk starting point at Randolph Drive & Reservoir Drive for a round trip of nearly 2 miles.

Please wear sturdy footwear, bring water, and a blanket or pillow for sitting.
