This is the 10th anniversary of the Boxers’ Trail 5K Run/Walk, a special community event bringing together Philadelphians from the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood and beyond to support Mander Playground.
As in previous years, all race registration fees will be waived for Strawberry Mansion residents.
So, whether you’re young or old, super-fit or self-admitted couch potato, this is the race for you! We welcome walkers, runners and joggers, beginners and those looking for a tune-up for the Broad Street Run, children and families, groups and singles.
The trail itself is like no other, twisting through forests and meadows, up hills and along shady creeks; and passing historic mansions and vibrant playgrounds. The unique terrain and ideal scenery made it a favorite of Philly’s own Joe Frazier and many other boxing greats.
After the race, we hope you’ll join us at the 12th Annual Community Apple Festival and Wellness Fair at nearby Woodford Mansion (33rd and Dauphin Drive, East Fairmount Park). This free event will feature cider making, apple tasting, pumpkin painting, light snacks and tours of Woodford Mansion and Orchard & Food Forest.
